Hi Guys! We have been tossing around the idea of offering to pick-up recycling materials (for donation or free) from folks that might need help getting them to the recycling facilities in the Norman/Noble area. We go to the recycling station about once a week anyway. Does anyone need help or have any interest in this? We'd love help out and be involved with our neighbors!
We've been working on the website today, getting all kinds of changes made and I am excited! The classifieds bulliten board has been formatted. Several people have taken a look at the site today. If you like the site, and/or identify as being part of our community already, please register on our forum page to be added as a member of our online community. If you have a skill that you do for side jobs, or offer to help support folks, please email us with your information and we can add it to the bulliten board. Think outside the box. It could be anything. Baking cakes. Polishing boots. Diagnosing computer problems. Mowing the lawn. Trimming trees. Cutting hair. Event planning. What what you LIKE to be doing? Is there something that you need help with? Maybe you can find something you are looking for here. Is there a category that you think we should add?
Also, we have a section for re-usable items. If you have something you would like to try to sell or trade, we can post it in the re-usable goods section. We also started building our virtual gallery. We've gotten some pics of Odessa's art, and mine up. I'd love to post other artists' work as well. Anyone interested in joining our gallery? Send us some info about your art and we can get you onto the gallery page! This year we will be attempting to use stacked and square foot gardening boxes. Herbs from our future garden will be used for cooking and medicine for folks and the vegetables will be used to help feed folks within the community. Here's the rough draft design for the soon to be Fire Well Community Garden!
